Information For Parents
The role of the parent
The parent has a great influence on the child’s attitude towards the Irish language. It is important that the child understands that the parent is not only sympathetic to the language but that they want the child to speak it. The services will provide all support and assistance to parents who want to raise their child with Irish. When a parent chooses to send their child to a CNNG service, they are giving the child the opportunity to enrich and acquire their Irish in a natural environment through fun, storytelling, speech, gestures and singing.
